1970 Chevelle Malibu  #’s Matching Engine Buildup at Northwest Corner Classic Cars

If you live near Lime Rock, CT, chances are good that you have seen me cruising in this

incredible Malibu. My personal car, I have owned this car for more than 3 years. We have a lot

of history together. It will take a big wad of dough and a pry-bar to get this beauty from me.

With 39,000 original miles on the odo, its time to spice it up. Last week it ran 15’s flat at the Valley

with the 3:55 Posi we installed a month ago. The new rear-end gained me 8/10th’s in the 1/4 mile; and

now with the new mods I’m shooting for late 13’s on street tires.

We will be installing an Edelbrock Performer Airgap, 750 Holley, Matching Edelbrock performer bumpity cam,

and shaved 291 heads breathing through Hooker headers. We are looking to get a strong 375 HP.

Follow along as we tear down the 350 in Part I of the rebuild!
